about the painting ask you mentioned how machete is camera shy but Vasco has commissioned portraits of himself

What if the portrait has some nod to machete in it? Like a giant white moon in the background or some fine red wine and a cured pigs leg resting upon the pelt of a white animal or a flourishing bush of roses that overpower the canvas whilst still being so gentle

Or even more subtle a black,red and white rosary wrapped around vascos hands

In the old version of the plot for this au, it had a lot to do with it being a game and such. However over the years it's changed! No longer a game, instead the Rescas explosion seemed to have had a .. strange affect on Gordon, due to him being right next to it. At least, that's what they all believe at first.

"I'm sorry. My boyfriend is actually waiting for me, but thank you for asking," you smiled at the guy who blocked your path and asked for a dance. The scowl that replaced his smile made your stomach sink slightly. "Excuse me."

You stiffened when the guy grabbed your arm. "Playing hard to get?" he asked when you tried to pull free from his grasp. "Uptight bitch. Bet you don't even have a boyfriend."

"He's right here."

You hadn't seen Bucky walk across the room, but you were glad he did as he grabbed the guy's hand and yanked him away. You also hadn't seen his expression ever look so cold. It wasn't a look you ever expected to see from your sweet florist.

"This isn't any of your business. She's-"

"She isn't playing hard to get. She's not interested. Instead of taking the hint and walking away, you upset her," he explained. You glanced down and saw the metal fingers tighten. "I don't like seeing my girl upset."

Oh, shit.

"Let go of my hand, asshole," the guy snapped, but his brows pinched like he was in pain.

"You didn't listen when she told you to back off. Why should I listen to you?" he asked calmly. He didn't raise his voice, but his icy tone and stance were intimidating. He didn't give the guy a chance to say anything else. "No. Don't even think about saying another word to her. Walk away. Now."

The guy clutched his hand as he stumbled away, but you paid no attention to him. Your eyes were on Bucky as he gently inspected your arm. "I'm okay," you promised when he opened his mouth to ask, loving him even more for defending you.

"He shouldn't have touched you," he whispered, ice still in his tone and tension in his shoulders.

"Why don't you dance with me and make me forget all about it?" you offered before leaning in close. "Or you could take me to the bathroom and I get on my knees to thank you."

He did both.

he has made a little shelf in you shared apartment that has a framed photo of the two of you and your cats, taken in the style of those old school family portraits. next to it a small pot of your favorite succulent, in a small jar the cat whiskers he is collecting and a turtle shaped (decorative) candle and incense...

all of this was a surprise to you of course... he wanted to collect enough whiskers to put this little project into action. so one day you return from a long day, exhausted and ready to escape to bed– until your eye catches sight of an irregularity within the space... something new... something you absolutely did not organize in the living room and your heart melts at the sight when you see these.
